Nikita Gill: How poetry has been a lifeline during the pandemic.

Tuesday 29 June, 6.30pm.

It’s no secret that poetry is a positive force for good. During this time of lockdown, more people have turned to poetry than ever. Poets have raised money for charity through their collections. Poets have used their poems to bring awareness to domestic abuse rates, which have shot up through lockdown. And poetry has made us feel seen and heard in a time of isolation. This event highlights the positive force of poetry, through hopeful poems from Nikita Gill, but also from collections like Chris Riddell’s Poems to Save the World With. Come and put your feet up as we experience hope and light through the darkness via the magic of poetry.
