FAQs & Contact

Find out everything you need to know about attending a Newham Word Festival event from our Frequently Ask Questions or by contacting the festival team.

Do I need to book to attend an event?

Some events will sell out so we strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If you haven’t been able to book tickets, it’s still worth showing up on the day if you can – any remaining tickets will be available on the door.

What if I can’t book online?

Your local library can help you! They will be able to go through the Eventbrite booking process with you and make sure you don’t miss out on tickets.

How do I find out where a venue is?

Our website has venue details including Google Maps locations here.

Are all Events accessible?

We prioritise accessibility and most of our venues are fully accessible. You can check each venue’s accessibility on our Venues page.

We also have BSL or Open Captioned Speech at some of our Events.

How do I watch online events?

Online video events will be available on their website event page from their start date and time – you can also catch up later.

Events can also be watched directly on the Newham Word Festival YouTubeFacebook or Instagram.

How do I access Zoom events?

You can book your place on a Zoom event via Eventbrite. An email with the Zoom link will then be sent to you prior to the event – so keep an eye out (including in your email’s junk folder).
